DESCRIPTION:
APW - Hampden, two-tone "Anchor" grade mvt with "Pennsylvania Special" marked dial, 17J, 18S, gold-filled OF Dueber case with "X" marking to cuvette, white enamel DS dial, SW-LS, 17J, two-tone gilt and nickel damascene, s#2357641. A very rare dial marking, we have only seen a small handful of other Hampden Pennsylvania Special dials. Interestingly the single other example our firm has handled was also on a 17 jewel two-tone factory marked movement, its movement was marked differently but was from relatively close serial number of 2354381 and its images can be viewed at this link - https://www.archive.jones-horan.com/?auction=All&searchfor=s%232354381&sort_by=date&show_thumbnails=true&limitnbr=250&Submit=Search
